The electrically-operated alarm mechanism, for a clock, has a shaft rotated via a drive motor and carrying a cam with a number of cam edges, for actuating two hammers striking the alarm bell. The alarm is released via a series of electrical pulses, supplied via a pulse source operated by the clock mechanism. The pulse source may comprise a cam disc (15) carried by the minutes shaft (18) of the clock mechanism. The cam disc (15) has a pair of diametrically opposed cam edges for alternately causing a movable contact to contact one of two stationary contacts (A, B), forming a release contact set (14). The latter is connected to the base of a switching transistor for the alarm motor via a capacitor.
|
