<p>Programme selector for automatically dispensing a liquid treating agent in a washing machine is locked to the door opener of the machine. At the end of each programme actuation of the door opening switch also causes cancelling of the pre-set fabric softener selection. The door opening switch and the selector switch can be in the form of push buttons which are connected to each other by a mechanical locking device so that, on actuation of the door opening switch, the selector switch for dispensing fabric softener springs into the "off' position. Arrangement prevents undesirable dispensation of the treating agent from occuring due to negligence of the user.</p> |
