The manually operated wall mounted switch is intended for appliances, equipment for use in living rooms. It consists together with its leads, of two conducting traces (13, (14) at the most as thick as a foil. One of their ends are in the operating area (11) and form a capacitor (15) by the proximity effect. The other ends lead to an oscillating circuit (16) at a certain distance, which in turn can operate an electronic relay (24) for pref. contactless switching of resistive and of inductive loads (29).
