<p>Bodies of water are aerated by drawing air, air enriched with oxygen or liquid oxygen from a pressurised gas supply unit (2) and feeding this via a line (7) to a gas admixture point (3). The gas which does not dissolve in water is collected again in a gas collection device (9) and via a gas return line (6) once more fed to the gas admixture point of the liquid. In order to achieve a high efficiency in terms of the ratio of the gas proportion dissolved in the liquid to the proportion of gas escaping from the liquid, the gas is fed in liquid form to the liquid at the gas admixture point (3) at a high flow velocity. In doing so, the pressure obtaining inside the gas supply unit is utilised for conveying the gas to the gas admixture point (3). For the purpose, in particular, of oxygen enrichment of natural bodies of water an appliance for implementing the method may have a float (1) on which the gas supply unit (2) and at which the gas admixture point (3) and the gas collection device (9) are arranged. <IMAGE></p> |
