Automatic checking of component quantity and orientation - using plunger with take-up spring to scan two identification markers

An automatic device checks that components are in the correct position and have a correct quantity when fitted within a magazine. The correct quantity of the component is checked using a plunger scanning two identification markers and provided with a take-up spring. The correct storage of the component is monitored by checking the contour using a defined area. The distance between the identification markers is greater than the distance between the scanners with the spring decompressed. With incorrect quantity and incorrect storage of component the momentary effect of the influence of an identification marker and the plunger on the scanners indicates the error.
