The garden lighting unit consists of at least two individual lamps comprising one bulb each which are connected to a spear anchored in the soil by a connecting piece. The spear is made as a rounded rod (10) with a circular cross section and each connecting piece (6) is made as a swivel link located close to the side of each individual lamp (2) with its swivel axis directed transverse to the axis of the round rod and having a pass-through opening for the latter. The swivel link (2) is fitted with link jaws having a turnable bearing on the swivel axis and forming the pass-through opening between them and capable of being clamped against each other.
