<p>1443505 Rotary positive-displacement fluidmachines ATLAS COPCO AB 13 Feb 1975 [24 June 1974] 6185/75 Heading F1F Male and female rotors 2, 3 for a meshing-screw compressor, motor or pump have pitch circles 12, 13 and lands 28, 37 with profiles comprising a radial straight line 22-23 and a curve 32-33 generated by a point 24 in the profile of the male rotor land. In the embodiment shown the profile of the land 28 also comprises a curve 21-22 generated by a point 31 in the profile of the female rotor land, a curve 23-24 generated by the point 32, an arc of a circle 24-25 having its centre at the pitch point 15, a curve 25-26 generated by a straight line 34- 35 in the profile of the female rotor land, and an arc of a circle 26-27 centred on the pitch circle 12. The profile of the land 37 in the illustrated embodiment further comprises a line 31-32 generated by the line 22-23, an arc of a circle 33-34 centred at the point 15, and an arc of a circle 35-36 having its centre on the pitch circle 13. It is indicated that with these profiles the rotors operate satisfactorily with or without synchronizing gears. Each land of the female rotor may have a sealing ridge (39), Fig. 6 (not shown), recesses (19) to accommodate this ridge being formed between the male rotor lands. The profiles of the male and female rotor lands in the regions of the points 24 and 32 may be rounded convexly, Fig. 7 (not shown).</p> |
