<p>1453863 Antihistamine preparations BEECHAM GROUP Ltd 15 May 1974 [19 May 1973 22 May 1973] 24000/73 and 24317/73 Heading A5B [Also in Division C2] The invention provides pharmaceutical compositions comprising compounds of the formula I and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof wherein R 1 , R 2 R 3 and R 4 are hydrogen, halogen, hydroxy, nitro, alkyl, alkoxy, phenyl, benzyl, pyridyl, phenoxy, benzyloxy or any adjacent two of R 1 , R 2 , R 3 and R 4 taken together are a tetramethylene or 1, 3-butadienylene group and R 5 is hydrogen, alkyl, phenyl or benzyl wherein alkyl and alkoxy groups have 1 to 6 carbon atoms, together with one or more pharmaceutically acceptable carriers. The compositions show anti-allergic or immunological activity when administered orally, parenterally or by insufflation. The composition may contain a bronchodilator such as isoprenaline.</p> |
