<p>The tyre changing machine for pneumatic tyres has a tyre removing tool driven by a double acting cylinder, through a chain and a rack and pinion mechanism. The cylinder can be mounted directly on the rack. The chain is fixed to a circular member which is rotated above a horizontal axis on the frame. The tyre extraction tool is swung by the circular member, due to the action of the rack, and travels along a straight line. During tyre removal, the wheel support rotates underneath a stationary carrier arm above it extending from the frame of the machine. Alternatively, the support may be stationary and the arm may be swung.</p> |
