An agent promoting homogeneity is added to a molten mixture of lead and copper. This agent contains elementary carbon and an alkali or alkaline earth metal cpd. capable of reacting by releasing a gas. Spefic. the agent comprises sodium carbonate and fine graphite powder, and the alloys is maintained at 1250-1350 degrees C for is not 1 min, after addition of promoter, then cooled.
