发明名称 Vorrichtung zur Handhabung von Glaswaren, vorzugsweise zu deren Pruefung
摘要 1,133,289. Conveyers. EMHART CORP. 18 Sept., 1967 [26 Sept., 1966], No. 42323/67. Heading B8A. Glassware articles C are diverted by a member 180 from an endless conveyer 12 for transmission by an endless belt 26 and co-operating spring loaded guides 30, 32, 36, to an inspection station at a point along the conveyer 26. The articles then pass on to a rotating platform 134, and if they are not to be rejected, they are carried round to engage a member 136 which deflects them back on to the conveyer 12. Otherwise, a member 148 is deflected from a dotted line position (Fig. 1) to a second position (full lines) in which the article is directed by the member 148 to a radially-inward position. It then misses the member 136 and passes round on the platform 134 until it is directed by a member 156 into a central discharge shoot 160. The platform 134 is supported by wheels 168, each of which is adjustably tiltably mounted so as to suitably match the height of the platform 134 to the level of the conveyer 12. The platform is positioned and driven by peripherally disposed wheels 164, 164b, and a driving wheel 164a. Each article approaching the inspection point operates a member 104 of a switch 106 thereby energizing a solenoid 112 for a timed period. This causes actuation of a link 54 and gears 114, 116. The gear 114 causes clockwise movement of a member 50 carrying a portion 34 of the article guide member 32, and the gear 116 results in anticlockwise movement of an arm 120 carrying two article-engaging rollers 122. The latter press the article C against a rotating friction-surfaced roller 28. Light from a source 130, and reflected by the rotating article, is picked up by a number of devices which may comprise fibre-optic bundles associated with respective photo-cells. If any of these detect a flaw, a signal is transmitted to a solenoid (150) (Fig. 4, not shown), which causes rotation of the member 148 to its full line position (Fig. 1). The mechanism is vertically adjustable on frame members 68, 70, 72, in order to adapt the apparatus to articles C of different sizes.
