The ridge tent is used for camping and is erected by air inflation. No metal frame or guy poles are required, but tent pegs are used. Each side (4) comprises two sheets of plastic or nylon, this being joined internally by horizontal strips (5) to form compartments (1). The sides are joined to each other along the ridge (6) and a common manifold (19) for inflation purposes is provided one end. The inside of the tent has a removable cotton lining (3) and the outside has an impermeable cover (2) of Nylon (RTM) or similar. The ends of the outer cover fold inwards to provide a groundsheet (11).
