The folding frame for a baby carriage has a spring system which does not obstruct folding. The spring suspension frame is connected to the base and side parts. The spring frame has curved leaf springs and links connecting them to the side parts. The spring ends are also connected by cross members and by transverse member of adjustable length and handle for extending the carriage. The carriage pushing handle forms part of sliding frame which is held against collapse by a spring on frame lower member parallel to pushing handle.
