The windscreen wiper control has a dashboard switch which applies either polarity to a single wire leading to the wiper motor, depending on whether the motor is to run or is to stop. A rotating wafer (3) on the motor couples the switch to the motor, or to a stopping polarity. The wafer has two tracks. The first track (9) is connected to the switch and the second track (11) to the motor. A gap in the second track connects the motor to the stopping potential for accurate and direct parking control. The self-parking control wafer is simple to assemble and fit.
