<p>The mechanism delivers a moving strip of material esp. stiff textile strip onto a conveyor, having nozzles shortly before the transfer point. These discharge jets against the material, having a component towards the transfer point and in the travel direction of the material, while another component is directed towards the adjacent edge of the latter. A support and guide surface for the material can be provided on the opposite side to the nozzle, and sufficiently close to the conveyor for the intervening gap to be only slightly wider than the material thickness. The portion of the surface nearest to the conveyor can be hinge-mounted.</p> |
