Laminated capacitor with metal-free strips dividing metal layers - into areas and side metallisation allowing continuous capacity adjustment

Laminated capacitor consists of a stack of alternating layers of dielectric material and metal divided by metal-free strips in a plane adjacent to the metal layers, which extend to opposite sides of the stack to metal coatings providing contacts, as in DT 2509669. Improvement is that the metal-free strips divide the metal layers into (un)equal areas. These areas are covered with the dielectric layers, the end sections open alternately on opposite sides of the stack and the sides and near areas of the covering surface of the stack are provided with metallisation, the size of these areas depending on the desired capacity. The capacity can be adjusted continuously within very narrow tolerances.
