<p>The rack and pinion drive for reversing machine components, partic. on a loom when going back to a fault, consists of a rack and a drive pinion. The rack is made of a highly elastic material, in the form of a toothed belting, held by guides to prevent it from folding. The rack is made of an elastic plastic or rubber material, with embedded wires to give longitudinal stability in the rack's cross-section. The guides for the rack are made of metal. The design gives a safe and hazard-free drive mechanism for small and medium movements, which occupies little room on the loom.</p> |
