The construction for goods vehicle chassis and bodies and trailers, comprises an assembly of reinforced plastics plates. The structure comprises plastic foam plates (1) into which load securing brushes (5) flush with the surface are cast, as are any required hinges (4) or other fittings. The rows of bushes are connected by a strap (8) embedded in the plate. The plates, when assembled into an enclosed structure are held together by edge strips (3).
