<p>Safety device for car tyres and comprising circumferentially arranged spacers inside the tyre held against the wheel rim. A chain of rubber spacers inside the tyre, held in contact with the rim by connecting elastic bands. The radial height of the spacers is sufficient to almost fill the tyre cavity. The spacers are hollow, with their interior space connected with the tyre cavity by radial openings. The spacers give good conformity with the distorted shape of the tyre during cornering. The hollow construction of the spacers ensures that the effective vol. ov the tyre is not reduced.</p> |
