<p>A battery testing circuit which will determine the existing cell capacity. The circuit will be permanently connected to the battery or accumulator and will provide an automatic monitor for the cells. It reacts to the variation of the internal impedance of the battery to provide a signal from the change in battery terminal voltage. A load circuit (17, 18) is connected in parallel with the battery (11). The load circuit is closed at regular intervals with the aid of a pulse generator (20). This will load the battery and a recognition circuit will establish whether the battery voltage has dropped to below a given value. The recognition circuit contains a threshold switch (22) which will produce an output signal when the battery voltage is above the threshold value.</p> |
