Receptacle, such as a clothing cabinet or cupboard, suitable for temporarily but securely storing articles of clothing e.g. in publi baths, sports centres etc. comprises an extruded, hollow, profile, as wall component at which the top and bottom (both also of plastics) are fastened. The article is pref. made of impact-resistant PVC, but other plastics e.g. polypropylene, L.P. polyethylene, polyesters etc. may be used provided their mechanical strength is sufficient to withstand relatively rough treatment. The prod. is easy and inexpensive to mfr. Maintenance costs are very low since the component material is resistant to the humid and sometimes Cl-contg. atmos. as prevalent in public baths.
