<p>One-piece spool for sewing thread has a plastic sleeve with two end disc flanges to hold the wound thread in place, >=1 of the end discs being fitted with a groove to hold the end of the wound thread. At least one of the walls forming the thread-holding groove is profiled to give a continuous circular holding unit for the end of the thread. The design gives a simple unit which can be mfd. with minimum tooling, which holds the end of the thread securely, without risk of damage or shearing.</p> |
