A signal processor for static digital inputs to a data processing system detects and announces variations in input using threshold detectors or pulse shapers and a logic arrangement for addressing the input signals. It is designed to reduce the number of interrogated inputs in order to considerably increase processing speed for a system with many elements. A group of threshold detectors (6) is connected to a device which forms a total combined signal (12, 13) from their outputs. The combined signal is held in a store (14) which is resettable from the interrogation logic (8).
