摘要 <p>A pyrotechnic ballistic thermonuclear implosion system is intended for detonating thermonuclear reactions. An explosive charge is introduced into the tightly sealed in a tapering barrel leading into a cavity contains a tightly sealed striker piston and in the blind end, a lithium-7 capsule contg. an H2 gas or H2 pellet. The charge is fired, causing the piston to strike the capsule and completely compress it and its contents, sealing it into the cavity with its plastic metal. The H2 is thus completely compressed, and the kinetic energy is converted into heat and deformation work, which compacts and heats the Li and the contained gas, heating the Li and the gas to several hundred million degrees.
