1508475 Furniture frames ROBERT KRAUSE KG 27 March 1975 [30 March 1974] 13034/75 Heading A4H A furniture frame comprises a floor stand 1 having a horizontal bar 10 connecting upstanding support parts 4, 6, a support structure 2 for supporting a part of the furniture, e.g. a table top, having a horizontal bar 12 connecting depending support parts 5, 7, the stand 1 and structure 2 being connected by parallel links 8, 9 pivoted at 14, 15 and 16, 17 to the stand 1 and structure 2 so that the structure 2 can be moved between an upper position as shown, e.g. to provide a table, and a lower position Fig. 3 (not shown), e.g. to provide a couch, with the links 8, 9 pivoting through 180 degrees about pivots 14, 15. The links 8, 9 are connected to one another by rods 20 pivoted to the links 8, 9 at 21, 22. The frame includes at least one counterbalance spring (24), Fig. 1 (not shown), such as a gas or compression spring, pivotally connected to bar 10 and to link 8. The structure 2 is locked in its upper position by a bolt 27 on support part 7 and a bolt-receiving structure 28 on link 9.
