For the manufacture of thermoformable panels from lignocellulosic fibres containing 20 to 100 % of recovered fibres originating especially from recycled paper, at least a proportion of the fibres in a suspension of fibres in water forming a pulp for the production of a panel are grafted with an olefinic monomer with the aid of a redox catalyst system at a pH lower than 4. This makes it possible to facilitate filterability, to avoid pollution problems and to obtain good product quality. The panels thus obtained can be employed for the production of moulded objects such as vehicle door inner panels. |
