8-Azapurin-6-one derivatives of the formula: <IMAGE> IV wherein R8 represents alkoxy of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and R9 represents cyano, or a group of the formula V, VI, VII, VIII or IX indicated below: <IMAGE> <IMAGE> wherein R10, R13 and R14 each represents cyano, or alkanoyl or alkoxycarbonyl of from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, R11 represents hydrogen, cyano, or alkanoyl or alkoxycarbonyl of from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, R12 represents hydrogen or, when R11 represents hydrogen, R12 represents alkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms or alkoxycarbonyl of from 2 to 6 carbon atoms, or the pair of symbols R11 and R12 form together an alkylene chain of the formula -(CqH2q)- wherein q is an integer from 3 to 6, R15 and R16 each represents hydrogen or alkyl of from 1 to 6 carbon atoms, and Y1 represents oxygen or sulphur, are new compounds possessing pharmacological properties, in particular properties of value in the treatment of respiratory disorders such as allergic bronchial asthma. |
