The method for the manufacture of a part extruded hollow section member is by folding extrusions with a strip intermittently feeding the extrusion. The extrusion is much shorter than the strip. Both, and eventually an intermediate layer, are finish folded together, and finally formed, straightened and cut to length. Extrusion lengths (6', 6") follow each other with a small gap (10', 10"). Machine for the above has three stations, distinguished by the first station forming the strip (4) and intermittent feeding the extrusion (6'), the second station finish folding and eventually feeding the intermediate layer and the third station final forming, straightening and cutting the finished hollow profile to length. |
