1459368 Recording apparatus KIENZLE APPARATE GmbH 31 Jan 1975 [2 Feb 1974] 4322/75 Addition to 1454948 Heading G1J To monitor that the recording means are in their correct operational state in a vehicle tachograph having at least one clock-driven record carrier 4, e.g. a diagram disc 4, and at least one stylus 10 movable transversely over the record carrier and elastically mounted for movement normal to the record carrier, a pressure sensitive member 14 is associated with the stylus 10, which records drivers' working times, to be actuated thereby through the record carrier 4 to pass an electrical signal dependent on the recording pressure of the stylus, the member 14 being mounted on the opposite side of a record carrier support member 1 to the record carrier 4 and being actuated by a push-rod 17 which is journalled in the support member 1 and projects into the plane of the record carrier 4. The pressure-sensitive member 14 is a switch having contacts 16, the movable contact being mounted on a spring arm 15. The recess 7 in the support member 1, which is the rear wall of the tachograph lid, receives the styli when the diagram disc 4 is absent, and is bounded by sloping edges 18, 19. If there is no diagram disc, if the lid is not properly closed, or if the stylus is sticking in its mount 11, the switch 14 remains open, and a warning signal is emitted. If desired, further switches and push-rods may be associated with others of the styli. |
