Car horn and headlamp control circuit - has diode linking two circuits to flash headlamps when horn is sounded

A diode (D) is connected between the horn button (1) output lead to the horn (2) and the relay input (5) for the head lamp. The diode anode (A) is connected to the horn side. An impulse on the horn button causes the head lamp to flash in synchronism via the relay switch (5). The diode acts as a blocking diode when the head lamp is switched on and the horn is not actuated. The same circuit could be used to activate the rear fog light and dipped head lamp. The blocking diode is connected between the rear fog lamp switch output and the head lamp relay. The head lamp will light in synchronism with the fog lamp when the fog lamp switch is closed.
