<p>acid derivs. of formula (I) are new:- (where R = OH, O-metal, alkoxy, NH2, alkylamino or dialkylamino). The cpds. are Mucolytic agents, suitable for the treatment of all disorders of the broncho-respiratory tract which cause alterations in the prodn. of mucus. They have fewer side effects than known mucolytic agents. A typical prod. is L-2(1,3-dimethyl-2,6-dioxo-1,2,3,6-tetrahydro-7-purinyl)-3-acetyl- -2-(2-thienyl)thiazolidine-4-carboxylic acid.</p> |
