<p>The sealing coating is for the carriageway of a bridge made of cement concrete or orthotropic metal plates. It comprises an underlayer applied to the surface to be protected, and a reinforcing layer and top layer. The underlayer consists of heat-hardened material (I) of 0.5-3 kg./m2 surface weight. The reinforcing layer is non-woven material, between 1 mm. and 6 mm. thick, partly impregnated into the underlayer. The top layer is of different material from the bottom one, comprising a binder on a hydrocarbon base, partly impregnating the reinforcing layer. (I) is esp. a mixt. of e.g., bitumen with an epoxy resin and a hardener or with a polyurethane resin. The reinforcing layer is applied before the underlayer has set hard, and the top layer afterwards. Effective adhesion is ensured.</p> |
