Mono-ski with pivoted steering board - can be controlled by skier placing his weight in correct position

The mono-ski has the undersurface divided into separate zones. The central zone (6) is flat with the side zones (13) inclined at an angle of 8 deg. The cross-section through the side zones has the form of a saw tooth and metal strips (12) are attached to the steep side of the tooth. In addition the mono-ski is steered by a steering board which is pivoted to the main board and controlled by the manner in which the skier places his weight on the ski. This method of steering obviates the need for control cords or for swaying of the body from side to side.
