<p>A matrix multiplexing system is used to prepare data for transmission as digital AC signals. Digital signals to be transmitted are coded by a coding matrix. The code consists of a store of 2n amplitude quanta at n signal source. The state of the signal sources is described by words of N = 1d(2n) places. Received signals are decoded by a decoding matrix, and the decoded signal is evaluated by a differentiating element and it is converted into the output signal. Matrix multiplexing method can, if modified, be used for transmission of analogue signals.</p> |
