The tear-open packing is particularly for liquids such as oil, comprising a sealed bag inside a cardboard casing with two overlapping cover flaps glued together. One corner (33b) at the top of the bag (12) extends, together with the bag edge (33) containing the sealing weld, outside the carbpard casing (11), being detachably secured to one of the outer walls of the latter. Near the edge (35) of the top flap (26b) covering it, the bag edge (33) has a cut (34) formed in it. A portion (28) can be removed from the topmost cover flap (25), while the one below it is divided in two (26a, 26b) by a cut. The bag edge with the cut in it lies above one flap section and below the other.
