Electric motor clutch or brake friction pad - has drilled channels for impregnating material stored for pad life

The impregnated pad is used esp. for clutches and brakes for electric motors. The friction pad can be made from organic or inorganic materials with resin bonding but able to absorb impregnating medium. A brake pad (8) has channels (9) which ensure impregnating agent flow towards the friction contact surface. These channels are drilled holes. The impregnation fluid is held in these channels and is available over the whole life of the friction pad.
