Building construction union piece - has metal profile groove fillets of bulb edged form to fit insulation bar recess

The union piece for windows, doors and faqades, comprises two metal profiles which are retained at a distance from each other but interconnected by at least one insulating bar inserted in profile grooves. The groove fillets of the metal profiles fit into lengthways recesses of the insulating bar by plastic deformation. The groove fillets (5) corresp. to the recesses (7) of the insulation bars (3) have a free bulb edge (8) which can be plastified with the aid of a drawing tool and formed into the bar recesses (7). The insulating bar is externally pained, the paint surface incorporating fine cored material such as sand or corundum. Alternatively, the paint surface can have aluminium powder or hematite bedded in it.
