A non-smoothed input DC or an AC voltage with a first mean value is converted into a DC or a non-sinusoidal AC voltage with a different mean value. An adjustable value of the input voltage is used. It achieves triggering of a semiconductor circuit which connects a load at its output to the input voltage during the triggering phases. The semiconductor circuit comprises one or several transistors (T2) which connect the load (RL) to the input voltage during the triggering phases.
