<p>The external driving mirror (11) is mounted on a servo driven shaft (2) at a set angle, so that when the shaft is rotated the mirror assumes different viewing angles. The mirror stalk is further jointed (7) so that a manual adjustment (10) provides coarse settings, while the servo drive provides the fine adjustments. A single servo motor is used (3) with only a reversing control. The mounting linkage is simplified and the combination of coarse manual, and fine servo control allow rapid and accurate setting of the mirror.</p> |
