<p>An improved lightweight building material capable of being formed in a continuous sheet operation. The material comprises sodium silicate as a binder and an expanded inorganic aggregate. In addition, an efflorescence inhibitor is included in such composition comprising boric acid, a metal borate selected from the group consisting of zinc borate, calcium borate, magnesium borate and mixtures thereof, a calcium salt selected from the group consisting of calcium sulfate, calcium nitrate, calcium phosphate, calcium orthophosphate and mixtures thereof, an alkali metal fluorosilicate, or mixtures of the above.</p> |
