The bearing for a door knob or handle is constructed from plastic with the moving parts being sealed from the outside. The cylindrical knob or handle shaft (11) has an increased dia. (11') at the bearing end. This enlarged section has a wider ring (12) which tapers towards its cylindrical outer surface (15). The tapered widening of the shaft forms the inner part of the bearing which runs in an annular recess (16) formed by the two components (15, 22) of the outer bearing which are welded together. The bearing is provided with lubrication channels (17).
