Stepping drive for cine camera spool - has spring linkage designed to absorb overload torques

The stepping switch mechanism is for a winding device, esp. the take-up spool of a cine camera, with a motor-driven arm providing a stepping drive to the spool shaft by a circumferential spring. In order to protect the spool from overload torques, the end of the spring (18, 19) which is in contact with the arm (16) is designed to take up overloads. The spring is a double one, with two limbs at 180 deg. The spring coils are of the same thickness and dia. on either side of the arm and are fitted over the same central spindle (14).
