<p>The reversible pawl and ratchet drive is esp. for a paper feed roller n a typewriter or other office machines. The pawl mechanism is moved by a slider into positions for given direction of rotation. The control slide on the actuating wheel spindle is able to rotate. This slide is spring loaded for ensuring working contact with the pawl mechanism. The actuating mechanism, has stops moved into the paper feed position. The actuating slide is brought into initial, rest position after every working cycle. From this position it is moved in next working cycle up to either stop by the pawl carrier mechanism. The actuating slide follows one pawl in the working direction and moves to meet the other pawl for ensuring alternating transporting engagement.</p> |
