Multi-hull cargo ferry - has several hulls respectively carrying power units and fuel and common deck-plate carried on shock absorbers

The multi-hull cargo ferry is intended for transporting containerised or piece goods between oceangoing vessels and shore. It comprises several, pref. three, hulls (1, 6, 7) connected to one another by hinged transverse links (9). The hulls are flexibly connected to a common deck plate (4) using shock absorbers (8). Some, pref. the two outboard hulls, are fitted with propulsion units, the inboard having fuel tanks. The latter's connection to the deck is pref. positive, the connection of the former being able to transmit thrust.
