The multi-purpose swimming pool incorporates areas for swimmers, non-swimmers and divers in a square layout. Extending along the whole length of one edge there is a pool section for races, which may be divided into equal parts by a transverse raisable partition. One such part is also a component of a wave pool along the edge at right angles to the first. The remainder of the layout adjacent to the other part and separated from the wave pool by a partition contains at least a non-swimmer pool and diving pool.
