<p>1507793 Photopolymerizable compositions UBE INDUSTRIES Ltd 26 March 1976 [8 April 1975] 12272/76 Heading C3 [Also in Division G2] Photopolymerizable compositions useful for forming printing reliefs comprise (A) 100 parts by weight of a product prepared by esterifying a maleic anhydride adduct of a liquid polybutadiene having a molecular weight of 500 to 5000 and a viscosity at 30‹ C. of 200 to 10,000 c.p.s. with a hydroxyl compound of the formula where R<1> and R<2> are each H or methyl; (B) 10 to 150 parts of one or more unsaturated compounds selected from hydroxyl compounds of the formula given above, di-(meth)acrylates of the formula where R<3>, R<4> and R<5> are each H or methyl, and n is from 1 to 4, and glycidyl acrylate or methacrylate; and (C) 0À5 to 10 parts of a benzoin alkyl ether whose alkyl group has 1 to 3 carbon atoms. The compositions may optionally include a thermal polymerization inhibitor, e.g. hydroquinone, p-benzoquinone or alpha-naphthylamine. Other uses of the compositions include paints, adhesives, displays and lenses.</p> |
