1507557 Fire retardant polyisocyanurate foams BASF AG 8 Aug 1975 [9 Aug 1974] 33142/75 Heading C3R A fire retardant polyisocyanurate foam is prepared from a reaction mixture comprising a polyisocyanate, a trimerization catalyst, a blowing agent and a polyesterol derived from an aliphatic C4-12 dicarboxylic acid and a diol mixture comprising (1) a C2-18 aliphatic diol which may contain one or more ether groups and (2) a halogen-substituted aromatic diol where A is a halogen-substituted phenylene, naphthylene or diphenylene radical, R is a C1-4 hydroxyl-substituted aliphatic radical and R<1> is a C1-4 aliphatic radical. The examples describe preparing polyisocyanurate foams from polyesterols derived from adipic acid, ethylene glycol, propane-1,2-diol or diethylene glycol and N,N<1> - bis - (ethanol - 2) - diaminooctachlorodiphenyl, and a mixture of diisocyanatophenylmethanes and polyphenyl-polymethylene polyisocyanates.
|
