<p>The tubular drum for (1) fabric roller blinds (6) has a longitudinal groove (2, 14) in the outer face. The groove is of dovetail cross-section and receives a bar (10, 11) of dovetail cross-section which is used to anchor the end (8) of the blind (6). The groove (2) and bar (10) may be of complementary crescent section with the central sector of the groove (2) marginally deeper than the corresponding bar (10) sector. The blind (6) is anchored by first passing it over the drum. The bar (10) is then forced into the groove (2), and the blind (6) is wedges in place between the bar (10) and the base of the groove (2). The drum (1) may be of curved sheet-metal with the longitudinal edges crimped (4) together.</p> |
