<p>The seat frame is formed from a single tubular component whose ends are joined together after the tube has been bent to form a seat support with a pair of end sections and a front cross-member, also a back rest with side members and a top cross member. The tube is flattened round the inside and outside of each bend (16, 17) joining an end section of the seat support (10, 11) to the adjacent backrest side member (13, 14), so as to form a pair of opposite fins. The tube may be of oval section except where flattened. The join between the tube ends (19) may be situated at the centre of the front cross-member (12).</p> |
