<p>Method comprises casting fine rock particles, preF. silica, sandstone or quarz sandstone, mixed with a transparent binder, in a mould pref. made of flexible polyurethane. The inner walls of the mould bear the impression of the facing of a structural element of natural hewn stone, which impression would be visible if this element were assembled with other elements. Binder is pref. a polyester resin contg. a hardener and an accelerator, in which the resin forms 10-15 wt.% of the rock particles, while the hardener and accelerator form 2 wt.% and 2-7 wt.% respectively of the polyester resin. The ashar requires no finishing treatment, thus eliminating the use of skilled labour for cutting in the factory and on site.</p> |
